St. Peter's in the Pub.. .

Serving and forming the community in the Carlton Estate and Bunker's Hill areas

Family hour at the pub on WednesdaysSt. Peter’s in the Pub started in October 2008 to serve the new, growing community in the Bunker’s Hill area of Lincoln where until recently, there was no church or church building. This new church is the result of several years of research, community engagement, and listening to local people.

Our regular church meeting takes place on the first Sunday of each month at the Lincolnshire Poacher pub on Wragby Road, Bunker’s Hill, Lincoln. LN2 4QT (see map). We start with coffee and croissants at 10am. There is a crèche for pre-schoolers and activities for older children during the service. All are welcome.

Other regular activities include our weekly parent and toddler group ‘Family Hour,’ and ‘Songs of Praise & Tea’ at Olsen Court. Once a term we have informal church café style at Alexander’s Café bar on the Carlton Estate. In the summer we hold an outdoor community event. From February 2009 we will be starting regular monthly football sessions for juniors and adults at Christ’s Hospital School.

Our vision...

At ‘St. Peter’s in the Pub’ we long to see the emergence of a Christian community welcoming and serving the people of the Carlton Estate and Bunker’s Hill areas.

We are seeking to achieve this through...a range of community-building activities, evangelistic events, Bible study, fellowship and our monthly meeting at the Lincolnshire Poacher.
