St Peter in Carlton meets on the third Sunday in every month in someone’s home for an informal and relaxed time of prayer and sharing.
On the first Sunday there is a walk in the Quarry, reflecting on God’s wonderful creation. We meet for the walk at 2.30pm by the back entrance of Carlton Academy on Carlton Boulevard. Get directions.
On other Sundays we join with the congregation of St Peter in Eastgate at 10.30am.

The North-East Quadrant of Lincoln is one of the fastest growing areas of our city...
In 2006 St Peter in Eastgate Church and pioneer curate Rev Nick Alexander were charged by the Bishop of Lincoln to develop a fresh expression of church for a new housing development on the Carlton.
Beginning with a community survey, occasional services in a café, a toddler group and an Alpha Course, a community came together and supported by a church planting team from St Peter in Eastgate began monthly Sunday services at the Lincoln Poacher in 2008, becoming known as St Peter in the Pub.
Three years later, a formal Bishop’s Mission Order was granted for St Peter’s to minister in both the Carlton and Glebe areas and weekly services began.
The congregation moved to Lincoln Carton Academy as soon as the school was built in early 2014 and Rev James Radcliffe was appointed as associate vicar with responsibility for Carlton in October 2015.
The Bishop’s Mission Order expired in February 2016 and given the plans for extensive development in the Greetwell Quarry area, a new parish was formed to serve this growing community.
The Covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the St Peter in Carlton congregation, but a church continues to exist, and we’re involved in a number of community events, like the Christmas Lights Switch On.
With the appoint of a new vicar for Eastgate & Carlton, we are excited about the opportunity to continue to serve this growing area of Lincoln… watch this space!
